No worries about being inactive—life gets busy! But something motivated me to write again, and I'm back with a new experience to share.
Everyone should visit Kashi at least once in their lifetime. For me, my journey to Kashi wasn’t just a trip—it was destiny. A year has passed since that incredible journey, yet the memories still feel fresh.
One of the biggest fortunes of my life was the opportunity to work under the esteemed Prof. S.C. Lakhotia, one of India’s finest scientists in the country. Doing research at Banaras Hindu University (BHU)—one of the country’s most reputed and oldest universities—was an achievement I will always be proud of.
The moment I landed in Varanasi, I could feel an energy unlike anywhere else. Every corner of the city has a story to tell, and every breath of air carries a sense of magic and positivity. It was a chilly February, with fog-laden mornings and nature at its serene best. Peacocks graced the campus, welcoming the dawn, setting the tone for each day. Kashi taught me not just about research but also about life itself.
Varanasi is a city that celebrates life even beyond death. The ancient temples, the grand monuments, the sacred Ganga, the mystic sadhus, and the migratory Siberian birds create a divine atmosphere. The ghats, alive with spiritual energy, feel like a bridge between the earthly and the divine.
And then, there’s the food—an experience of its own! The hot and crispy kachoris with spicy sabzi, the melt-in-your-mouth malaiyo, fresh-out-of-the-pan jalebis, and the endless variety of chaats—it’s a paradise for food lovers.
For devotees of Lord Shiva, Kashi is nothing short of heaven. His presence can be felt in every corner of the city. I was fortunate to witness Shivratri in Kashi, an experience so profound that it remains etched in my soul. It was an experience of a lifetime. The entire city was illuminated with dazzling lights, the streets echoed with the sounds of band baaja, orchestras, and grand processions, while the ghats resonated with an energy beyond words.
No visit to Varanasi is complete without experiencing the divine presence at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the most powerful Jyotirlingas. The moment you set your eyes on Mahadev, a deep sense of surrender takes over. The peace and fulfillment after the darshan is beyond words.
And yet, this is only a fraction of what Kashi offers. Words can never truly capture its essence—it must be experienced. As I’ve always said in my previous blogs, experience has to be experienced and not explained.
Some journeys are not just about exploration but about self-discovery. Kashi is not just a tourist destination; it is a place to find yourself, to understand the deeper meaning of life, and to realize our true purpose. Everyone who visits Kashi takes back something special—not just memories, but a deeper understanding of life. It’s a place that stays with you long after you leave, guiding you in ways you never expected.
As long as we are here, let’s make this journey a beautiful and a meaningful one.
I promise to stay more active for all my loyal readers. See you soon with another story!
