This is one of the topics, on which I always wanted to write something, about a very long time.
In these unprecedented times, its natural that we go through a lot. So much work pressure, stress, tensions, etc. that can gradually lead to depression and loneliness. Yes! This is a very serious issue in these times that negatively affect how people feel, the way they think, and how they act.
How much ever strong you might be, you can't be strong all the time. Sometimes you just need to be alone or with someone you trust to let all your tears out. Although we live in the 21st century and it seems like we are surrounded by millions of people, we can suddenly get struck with a sharp pain of loneliness. Negative feelings are very natural, that may be painful initially, but as time goes by, this has to become less intense. But if these emotions persist longer than usual, it leads to depression.
It is important to understand the difference between being alone and lonely. Being alone means you don't need people to be around you at that particular point of time, while loneliness means you are feeling left out in spite of so many people around you. The problem is that loneliness can become a cause of such terrible actions, like suicide, falling into depression or even trying to hurt close people.
Loneliness doesn't come from having no one around you, but from not being able to communicate the things that are important to you. So speak your heart out to the ones who care about you.
Medications are suggested, but warm words can heal even the most broken and lonely souls. Just look around you and see if somebody is longing for your help. Perhaps it's not that easy, but the deathly scream of your closed ones can be heard by the kind-hearted people.
Many people stay with you knowing that you have a happy and happening life, but only true friends are there for you even during the tough times. If you have such kind of persons in your life, never lose them, if you don't have I wish you find them soon. Always be grateful to those people who help you overcome your fear and sadness. Cause you never know what the other person is going through in his/her life.
Friends help us handle stress, make better lifestyle choices that keep us strong. When we fall on hard times, friends are there to put things in perspective and help us. Take a deep breath and think that this too shall pass. Lastly learn to be happy all by yourself.
Today, I am asking all of you to give your closest friends a big hug and thank them for bringing greater meaning to your life.
