It is very important for children and young people to understand basic information related to Covid, including its symptoms, complications, how it is transmitted, and how to prevent transmission. We all have turned blind towards the pandemic and the reality of the situation is very harsh. Covid infection is spreading brutally and the numbers are increasing exponentially day by day.

In a situation like this, it is normal to feel worried, confused or scared. You should know that you are not alone and should talk to someone you trust, such as a parent or a trusted person, so that you can protect yourself and your health. There is nothing to get panic about it and the best way to avoid this is following some simple rules of social distancing and sanitization. Wash your hands frequently for atleast 20 seconds. And remember not to touch your face at all, cause you may have followed all the precautions, but you never know people with whom you interact are asymptomatic for Covid.

The most important thing that is to be followed in order to stay calm is to take a break from watching, reading, or listening to news about the spread of the infection multiple times throughout the day which can be disturbing. Take care of yourselves and your family. Take a deep breath. Try to eat healthy, balanced meals. Sleep a lot, stay hydrated and relax.

Please be responsible to wear masks which can save you as well as others from the infection. If we rethink about the future of our environment and tackle climate change and environmental degradation, only then can we protect the health and livelihoods of all people, and ensure that our ‘new normal’ is a better one.
